Over the past few months, the Wells & Maguire team have been busy bringing a number of exciting projects to life. From the early design stages through to final installations, it has been wonderful to see months (and sometimes years) of planning, creativity and collaboration come together.
We wanted to share a little insight into what we have been working on behind the scenes and some of the projects that have kept the team busy recently.
A Major Installation in Guildford
One of our biggest milestones recently has been the installation of a large-scale residential project in Guildford, Arch and Bloom, which has been a true labour of love for the past two years.
We have been involved with this project from the very beginning, working closely with the team to design the base build interiors for over 400 new apartments, as well as the wider residential areas and the sales and marketing suite.
Being involved from the outset allowed us to carefully consider every detail, from the initial layouts and finishes through to the overall look and feel of the spaces. Our aim was to create interiors that felt welcoming, considered and reflective of the lifestyle the development offers. We were heavily influenced by the stunning architecture and features of Guildford town centre, taking inspiration from the beautiful archways and hidden cobbled streets, ensuring there was an element of discovery throughout our design.
We were particularly excited to reach the installation stage of Phase 1, bringing the sales and marketing suite and show apartment to life. Seeing the finished spaces come together after two years of design development was a hugely rewarding moment for the whole team.
The installation process is always one of our favourite parts of a project. It’s when all the carefully considered details, from furniture and lighting to artwork and accessories, finally come together to create a complete space.
It has been fantastic to see the vision translated from the initial concepts into a fully realised environment, and we look forward to seeing the next phases progress over the coming months.
Creating the Foundations of a New Home
Alongside our larger projects, we have also been working closely with private clients as they begin the exciting process of transforming their homes.
For one project, our clients are undertaking an extension alongside a full interior design and furniture scheme throughout the property. Recently, we focused on finalising the key base build elements to ensure the foundations of the design were carefully considered from the start.
This included reviewing flooring, paint colours, kitchen cabinetry, hardware and stone selections, creating a cohesive palette that would flow throughout the home. We introduced a scheme of warm neutrals, beautiful natural stones and warm timbers to create a timeless and inviting foundation for the interiors.
These early design decisions are such an important part of the process, as they help shape the overall atmosphere of a home and allow all the later layers, including furniture, lighting and accessories, to work seamlessly together.
Bringing a Complete Interior Scheme to Life
We also recently presented a full interior scheme to some lovely clients who are embarking on a complete FF&E project throughout their beautiful home.
The scope includes bespoke built-in joinery, furniture, soft furnishings and wall panelling throughout, with every element carefully considered to create a home that feels personal, timeless and reflective of their lifestyle.
The overall design direction is contemporary with a Scandinavian influence, balanced beautifully with the existing period features of the property. By combining clean lines, natural materials and warmer traditional details, we are creating a transitional style that feels both elegant and inviting.
Presenting the full scheme is always an exciting milestone, as it is the moment where all the individual design elements come together and clients can truly visualise how their home will evolve.
Preparing for Our Next London Installation
Finally, we have been busy sourcing the finishing touches and organising the final details for an upcoming installation in London next month.
The project is set within a beautiful Victorian home that is full of character and original features. We have loved working with the existing charm of the property, carefully selecting pieces that complement its history while creating a warm, considered and timeless interior.
From final accessories and styling details to those last finishing touches that bring a space together, we are excited to see this project come to life and can’t wait to share more with you soon.

Alongside these projects, we have been continuing to work on a variety of exciting residential and commercial designs, each with their own unique story and design journey.
We love being able to share the behind-the-scenes process, from the early concepts and design decisions through to the final reveal, as this is where so much of the creativity and collaboration happens.
